Pinwheels for Peace

SEVENTH GRADE

On September 21st, 7th grade Snow Leopard students celebrated the International Day of Peace by participating in the Pinwheels for Peace Project. This is a global project where people from around the world participate in the program as a way to honor the day and to spread awareness about peace. 7th graders discussed what peace means to them and were encouraged to write a message of peace on their pinwheel.
This is the 10th year that York Middle School has officially participated in the project and about 80 pinwheels greet our staff, students, and visitors as they enter the school.
