YMS Geo Bee

On Wednesday, January 25th the YMS Geography Bee took place. This event takes place annually after the classroom level competitions take place. A winner from each grade-level Social Studies class is represented at the bee. Unlike the class bee where you try to answer the most questions correctly the school wide bee runs on a double elimination set-up. Numerous questions stumped the contestants despite their best efforts. With some critical thinking abilities a handful of the participants were able to hang on until the later rounds. The event concluded with a final round between 6th grader Tyler Frederick and 8th Grade Henry Bruskotter. With a fight to the finish line Henry took home the well deserved title of the the YMS Geo Bee champion.
